Formulation through which an element is justified in the system design
Introduction to the notion
The models maintain relations that have to be clarified. The job of clarification takes place first at the relations-between-modeling-element level. Inside each aspect, the elements are linked to each other by relations depending on their categories and described by the metamodel. Added to which are the relations between packages regarding the reuse of generic or shared elements.
Between the aspects, we distinguish three types of relations: projection, derivation and justification (where a downstream element participates in the response given to an upstream element).
Some illustrations of justification
- An objective (upstream) justifies the organizational or equipment measures.
- An operational requirement motivates an infrastructure choice
Comment
Definition applicable in the Praxeme context. In a justification relationship, an element from a given aspect participates in the response given to an element from a previous aspect.
