Data Policy

Concerted manner for conducting everything related to enterprise data

Introduction to the notion

The optimal exploitation of the data deposits to the benefit of the enterprise requires a set of measures as much organizational as technical. They must comply with current regulations and deontology. They mobilize resources that should be coordinated and, with regard to human resources, informed about the stakes. Implementation rests on simple, but not necessarily spontaneous, principles.
All this requires an effort of thought and expression, which is what we call the data policy for the enterprise.

We follow the Grand Robert dictionary, which defines “policy” (meaning 4) as a: “Concerted manner for conducting a matter”.

Related terms: data, software data.
