Introduction to the notion
The concepts required by the method and needed for its implementation are presented in a Transformation Model. The Transformation Model is based, as far as possible, on the SPEM (Software Process Engineering Model) standard from the OMG which provides the model into which method repositories can be expressed for the purpose of interoperability.
The Transformation Model plays a key role in formalizing the method and in building consensus. It is a guide for tooling the activity chain and is an appreciated educational tool.
