Item, like “ModelTree", can be decomposed hierarchically, and browsed by the explorer. As a typical example, dictionary terms, or requirements have been modeled as stereotypes of Item. This metaclass is an extension to UML.
Item is a concrete class, that can be specialized for adding new elements to UML.
Consistency checks
A tree of Item must have a root Item belonging directly to a Project instance.
